A longtime Detroit Pistons fan, Dr. Joseph was thrilled to learn Kitsap would be home base to a newly-launched ABA Basketball team, the Kitsap Admirals. Launched in late 2011 by couple Ashley and Erica Robinson,“the Kitsap Admirals’ mission is to create a winning organization that makes a positive impact in the Kitsap Region through a commitment to excellence in the community, both on and off the court,” according to their website, www.kitsapadmirals.com As Chief Medical Director, Dr. Joseph assists in training, injury prevention and injury rehabilitation. “It’s been an exciting experience to meet the players and be involved in their care. Their commitment and talent is inspiring,” Dr. Joseph said. Part of the PAC NW Division, the official season starts this fall with a November 9th opening game against the Seattle Mountaineers, 7PM at the Admiral’s home court, Olympic College, 1600 Chester Ave., in Bremerton. Always family-friendly, tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children and free for children ages six and under. The past several weeks have been a time of intensive training and bonding for the team, the coaches and trainers. You will often find Dr. Joseph courtside at weekly practices and community events, like the June autograph signing at Finger’s Duke in the Kitsap Mall. “Our community has always been a desirable place to live and work. Teams like the Bluejackets and Pumas give baseball and soccer fans a local team to cheer for. I think we’re ready for basketball now,” he said.

Dr. Sean Joseph of Integrated Chiropractic set aside a day to celebrate his patients. More than 120 Silverdale patients, including 20 new patients, benefitted from a delectable spread of croissants, wraps, fruit, beverages and free care. "It's a wonderful oppurtunity to work in Kitsap County," said Dr. Joseph. "The culture and the enviroment are inspiring."
The day also marked the official grand opening and ribbon cutting of five-month-old Integrated Chiropractic. The event was officiated by Angela Sell, President of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce and Kathleen Knuckey, Executive Director. “It’s exciting to see how much we’ve grown in such a short time. I am anticipating good things here in Silverdale,” said Dr. Joseph.
“Ask the Doctor ALMOST Anything” was inspired by two of Silverdale Chiropractor, Dr. Sean Joseph’s favorite things: health and pumpkin-spice lattes. “Whenever I’m at a social event in Kitsap County, and people learn I’m a Chiropractor, they have a lot of health questions for me,” said Dr. Joseph. “I decided it might be a good idea to chat about their health outside of my Silverdale office—over coffee. Forza serves some of the best espresso on the entire peninsula.”
Forza Coffee Company located at 9995 SilverdaleWay NW, plays host to Dr. Joseph’s “Ask the Doctor ALMOST Anything” on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 12:30PM-2:00PM. It’s a casual event with no structured agenda—just a chance to get some health questions answered while sipping a latte.

With more than eight years of experience behind him, Dr. Sean Joseph, 34, sets up shop in Silverdale and brings brightly-colored strips of tape with him. “It’s a process using a special tape and unique application that either facilitates or inhibits muscle function,” said Dr. Joseph. “It provides an immediate postural benefit and helps relieve pain.” According to founder Dr. Kenzo Kase’s website, www.kinesiotaping.com, Kinesiology Tape “enhances the body’s natural healing process and provides support through the muscles,” much the way you would apply pressure to your head after bumping it. The technique is gaining in popularity and is frequently seen on professional and amateur athletes. Dr. Sean Joseph is the only Chiropractor West of the Puget Sound who is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner but taping is only part of Dr. Joseph’s practice. Patients may seek him out for relief of musculoskeletal and neurological pain—but they stay for much more. “He truly listens to what I have to say and then works with me to create a plan to manage my low back pain flare-ups,” said four-year patient and Licensed Massage Therapist Carrie Kimsey. “He has taught me the changes to make in my day-to-day activities that have helped to dramatically reduce the number of flare-ups I get every year.” New to Washington, Dr. Joseph relocated from the Chicago area and hopes his treatment philosophy will help new patients succeed in health. “It’s important for patients to understand their diagnosis—and for me to explain it efficiently,” he said. “I hope to provide my patients with both the education and the tools needed to live healthier lives.” Luann Petrulakis couldn’t agree more. “I attribute his care for eliminating the need for surgery on my back and neck,” Petrulakis said, “He looks at the patient as a whole picture and not just one physical complaint.” Athletes and at-home Moms, desk workers and day laborers, senior citizens and active youth have all benefitted from Dr. Joseph’s care. His comprehensive treatment even finds its way home. “I adjusted my own children when they were weeks old,” he said with a smile. Visit him online at www.DocJoseph.com
Chicago, Illinois is known for its deep dish pizza and hot-air-blowing politicians—hence the “Windy City” moniker, but it could just as easily be known for its encompassing brand of Chiropractic.
For eight years I ran a multidisciplinary clinic in a suburb of Chicago, where I managed multiple massage therapists, a physical therapist and a PT assistant. We worked in conjunction with a medical doctor, orthopedic surgeon, neuologist, anesthesiologist and some extraordinary personal trainers who were all on site.
This was a great benefit to patients who appreciated the ease of care and communication between doctors and therapists.
As a Chiropractic Physician and Acupuncturist, I had the unique opportunity of treating Chiropractic patients with adjustments and acupuncture/acupressure but was also able to combine my PT knowledge and offer corrective exercises, postural strengthening and “functional rehab” which are necessary and natural components to Chiropractic adjustments.
I brought my practice to Kitsap County—knowing the broad scope of practice I was afforded in Illinois would be greatly restricted—but my nearly decade worth of experience remains.
At Integrated Chiropractic, we take an integrated approach to your health care. We treat the issues that cause your pain and seek to inspire you to wellness—not only by essential spinal and extremity manipulation—but through functional rehab—exercise protocols our patients take home to actually strengthen weak areas in the body to prevent injury, increase range-of-motion and help those adjustments hold. We help you achieve weight-loss goals by offering Ideal Protein, a medically designed weight-loss plan that results in fat loss while sparing muscle mass.
We’ve got some great Chiropractors here in the Pacific Northwest and some great patients who believe in the accessibility and affordability of Chiropractic care.
But I bring something new to the area.
· I learned my skill at a different school than most of our local guys, National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.
· I am used to a broader scope of practice because in the Midwest, I was educated to be a “primary care physician” and even learned to deliver babies and observed various surgical procedures, including total shoulder and hip replacements, total and partial knee replacement and fracture repair.
· I spent eight years working directly with other Chiropractic Physicians, Medical Doctors, an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Neurologist, an Anesthesiologist and Physical Therapists.
· I was on staff at a hospital as an Allied Health Professional, St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
· Even my brother and sister-in-law are Chiropractors!
I’m not saying I’m better—but I am saying my background is more diverse. I’m not like the Chiropractors you’re used to.
Call, email, or Facebook me, if you’d like a complimentary sample of Chicago-Style Chiropractic. I'd love to hear your story.
